h3. Academic Talks

Hammad has organised Microsoft and Moloney Research to come in on Thursday week 10. Microsoft want to see what VGDsoc have produced, and also are interested in doing some kind of talk, though we are not sure what on.

*Action:* Hammad to email Microsoft to find out what there plans for the talk are.

Moloney research want to give some kind of Resume workshop, they want ~30 people to send in their resumes in advance...

Warwick paintball soc have been awesome and organised us one hell of an event for Saturday.

As it happens the paintball ground they use is celebrating its 21st birthday and as such there will be live music, a hog roast and just more epic than your body has room for.

The price of tickets is £43 which is really reasonable considering that you get 1000 paintballs, a smoke grenade and all the other things listed above. It also happens to be a cool £12 less than their ordinary asking price.

We established the situation so far. monk and Adi attempted to contact
Tom Callow to arrange a meeting, again, this time resorting to leaving
a note on his door asking to contact us about the issue. On Tuesday
Adi received a phone call from Tom Lindsay saying that he wasn't
sure/couldn't remember what the issue was, and that he would talk to
Tom Callow abo...

h5. Email Issue

Viruk asked more about the email issue and Monk explained it to him. Also
Viruk to call Tom Callow and a convenient time for Brad and Monk to
meet him.

h5. Term 3 Socials

Exec agreed that there needs to be a barbecue and a paintballing session
on Week 9 weekend. Natural 20 to get in touch with the paintballing
society and organise a session. Also Viruk/Natural to book a barbecue site
for saturday week 9.

h5. Moloney Search/Microsoft Eve...

The first problem for the Compsoc Progcomp has been announced! To get started, you'll want to look at http://progcomp.uwcs.co.uk/. It is free to enter and there will be prizes for the best entries.

The deadline for code entry is 2 weeks from now, and there should be plenty of competition, but it is intended to be enjoyable for any level of programmer who wishes to enter.

Natural 20 wanted to hold a few socials at the end of this term and
beginning of next term.

Action: Natural 20 to compsoc discuss social ideas and
dates(karting,meal,paintballing etc.....)

Azurit and Estel have not ordered any gaming equipment yet.

Action: They are actioned to order some equipment soon.

h5. Tech Officer/Deputy

It was discussed that a Tech Officer and some deputy's needed to be
appointed....
