So, how quickly will 38 signups for the first LAN of term go...? Answer:...

The management apologises for the lateness of this newsletter, but the first version of it was eaten by Thunderbird about 1 paragraph from completion. Si1entDave was a little miffed to say the least.

Hi folks,
Hope you're all enjoying your holiday. As part of the Technical Team's efforts to maintain a reliable service, we have slightly modified the DNS configuration of the Computing Society's servers. These changes should be transparent, but if you notice any peculiar behaviour with Computing Society domain names, or any domains you may have hosted with CompSoc, please contact us (techteam@warwickcompsoc.co.uk), and we'll sort them out.
For those of you ...

Howdy all!
Tomorrow, from 2pm onwards, is the annual CompSoc BBQ!
Before the details of the BBQ, a quick notice. Due to an upgrade to the IRC service, IRC shall be disrupted for about ten minutes at 11pm tonight. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
We shall be situated at main campus BBQ site 1. To find it, simply follow Health Centre road down to the Gibbet Hill lake and then turn right - we should be right there.

Great News Everyone!
The Uni electricians finally got back to us, (thanks John) and we have been told that we have enough power for 40 people. Thus all of you who wanted to come, but there wasn't room, now there is. We're sorry it is such short notice, but there was nothing we could do. We decided it was better this way than to risk getting 40 signups, and then having to tell the last 20 that they couldn't come after all.
That said, roll on the LAN...

As you may have noticed if you were at gaming last week, ITS have decided to end public access to ITS0.11, which will become a training room only. This also leads ...
