Hello Everyone!
Welcome to term 2. I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year. We look forward to seeing you all again.
AGM - Annual General Meeting
Our Annual General Meeting is coming up this term! We're aiming to run this Friday Week 6 and it's your opportunity to run for an Exec position, vote for who the new Exec will be, and make any changes to the society in a democratic way.
Naturally, due to the ongoing state of the world, it will be run online and as such, the exact format is yet to be decided with advice being given from the SU.
If you're interested in running for a position or have any questions please do get in touch, though you're also free to nominate yourself on the day if you wish.
The positions available are:
- President - The representative of the society
- Secretary - In charge of the administrative details
- Treasurer - Responsible for the society budget
- Academic Coordinator - Organises academic events
- Gaming Coordinator - Organises gaming events
- Social Secretary - Organises social events
- Women's Officer - Ensure we have a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for women within the society
- Tech Officer - Responsible for managing all of the technical resources provided to our members

(W)LAN - Week 3
Mark it in your calendars, prepare yourself. For we shall be running another Remote LAN in Week 3. We'll be putting out a poll for name suggestions and will have fun events lined up.
Friday Gaming
Term has started again and that means gaming is officially back on! You may have noticed it lived on during the holiday, but now it's actually official again. We will be playing video games, probably some Jackbox. Maybe even TTT.
Film Night - Sunday 17th
We'll be watching We Can Be Heroes on Sunday Week 1 (Jan 17th) at 7pm.
We'll be using one of our voice channels and syncing the movie on Netflix with Teleparty (https://www.netflixparty.com/); although if you have your own source then feel free to sync that with us manually.
