Forget what we said about relaxed schedules last week, with an event every day from Monday to Saturday! We start with our trip to Kasbah to get a spooky clubbing fix, our new sponsor Qube will give us an insight into their industry, and our Scratch Game Jam with Game Design will be great fun (and technically, academic)!
Our courses are nearing completion and still going strong, with the cross-society Python course in its penultimate week and our Rust course finishing! 1st years will have a chance to run and vote in the elections for our Fresher Rep!

For experienced programmers. This week we'll have a bumper lab session to finish off the projects. Whether you've got to CHIP-8 or Raytracing, we'll be around to help out and get you completed!
With the support of a grant by the Rust Foundation, we'll be guiding you through what makes Rust stand out from the crowd, and get hands-on with some projects. First, Tic-tac-toe. Next, a Chip-8 Interpreter. Finally, a Graphics Raytracer built from the ground up. Not to be missed!

We're doing a game jam with Game Design Society, just with one little twist, it's in Scratch! Last year, we had great fun doing this, with someone even creating a 3D game engine inside of Scratch. I'm sure a worryingly high number of you all started programming in Scratch, so feel some nostalgia and give it a go!
